Sale v Wasps
BT Sport 1, 3pm Sunday

Wasps fans have become used to seeing high-scoring entertainment whenever their team take to the field and we could be in for more of the same at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Defeat for Saracens on Friday has given Wasps a handy cushion at the top of the Premiership table and their tally of 56 tries before this weekend's matches was ten more than their nearest challengers.

And their rapier backline is scarcely affected by international call-ups with only Elliot Daly in the England picture. Christian Wade, Kyle Eastmond and Danny Cipriani have all been overlooked while overseas troops Kurtley Beale and Jimmy Gopperth are joined by another high-calibre import as Springbok Willie le Roux is in line to make his debut from the bench.

Having qualified for the European Champions Cup quarter-finals, Wasps gave themselves a bit of a breather in the Anglo-Welsh Cup but they were right back in the groove in a rollicking 35-35 draw away to Exeter last week.

Sale are no slouches at home having run up an average of more than 28 points in four outings this year, while former rugby league winger Denny Solomona, who has six tries in seven appearances, has crossed in his last two home games.

With good conditions forecast these teams should pass the 47.5-total points line.

Also in the Premiership, Newcastle give up two points at home to Northampton while in the Top 14 Castres are given a six-point start at Bordeaux (Sky Sports 3, 11.30am).
