For Leeds Rhinos, the 2018 season has been a case of deja vu.

As was the case in 2016, the Rhinos started the season as champions but rather than being in the mix to retain their title they are in a battle to avoid being sucked into the Qualifiers.

Injuries have undoubtedly played their part. Leeds have operated without a plethora of their first-team squad this term, especially in the pack. But they have rarely looked like the side who won eight Grand Finals in the last 14 seasons.

A home tie with Catalans, which was originally scheduled to be played in March but postponed due to snow - isn't usually a high-stakes game for the Rhinos, but it has now become a pivotal encounter if they are to avoid finishing the regular season in the bottom four.

Catalans also need to win to enhance their hopes of finishing in the top eight. However, the Dragons blew an 18-0 lead on their last visit to Yorkshire and their defensive attitude isn't always the best.

It should be a nervy night at Headingley, but the wounded Rhinos may just have the edge.

Recommendation
Leeds to win by one to 12 points
2pts 2-1 general
