Wigan Warriors were genuine Betfred Super League title-contenders after winning their opening seven games of the campaign, but the wheels came off in spectacular fashion at the DW Stadium and the Warriors never fully recovered.

A 48-0 drubbing at the hands of Catalan Dragons was the start of a run of five defeats for Adrian Lam's men and they scraped into the playoffs despite losing four of their final seven regular-season contests.

The Warriors are 4-7 to end Leeds Rhinos' title ambitions but those odds flatter a side who managed to score more than 12 points in just one of their closing six games.

Leeds romped to a 14-0 victory at this venue four weeks ago, part of a sequence which saw them win five of their final seven fixtures.
