Match preview

Warrington Wolves ended Castleford Tigers' Betfred Super League interests last week and they can call time on Hull KR's season too.

The Robins have landed in the playoffs for the first time since 2013 but it could be a short stay in the post-season for Tony Smith's spirited side.

Warrington have hammered Rovers in their previous two meetings - 50-26 and 40-10 - and they could again make light work of a side who are the 40-1 underdogs for Grand Final glory and must do without injured stars Matt Parcell and Ryan Hall at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Rovers won just two of their final six regular-season matches, while the Wolves saw off a spirited Cas fightback to win 40-24 at the Jungle last week.

Warrington coach Steve Price is heading back to Australia at the end of the season and his players would love to send him off in style with a Grand Final winner's ring.

That process could begin in Friday's eliminator and Jake Mamo may be the man to get the ball rolling for the Wolves.

Mamo has been in fine form, bagging 16 tries this season, and he will also want to finish his Wire career on a high before joining Castleford for 2022.
