Huddersfield Giants v Wakefield Trinity

Where to watch

Sky Sports Arena, 1pm Sunday

Best bet

Wakefield
2pt 7-5 Betfair, Paddy Power

Match preview

The second day of Magic Weekend begins with an all-Yorkshire affair between Huddersfield and a resurgent Wakefield side.

Both sides boast identical records this season with the Giants above Trinity on points difference alone.

That could change at St James' Park, however, and Wakey are fancied to claim a fourth win in five and continue a strong end to their season.

Wakefield have beaten Warrington, Leeds and Hull KR in their late-season surge and have won six of their last eight meetings with the Giants.

Huddersfield have shown signs of getting their act together under Ian Watson this season, but on the whole they have flattered to deceive and it is debatable whether they should be favourites for Sunday's curtain-raiser given the form of the two sides.

Wigan Warriors v Warrington Wolves

Where to watch

Sky Sports Arena, 3.15pm Sunday

Best bet

Warrington -8
1pt Evs bet365

Match preview

Sunday's main event pits fierce rivals Wigan and Warrington against each other.

Wigan arrested an alarming slide at Castleford last weekend, turning the form book on its head at The Jungle to record their first win over a top-eight side since the middle of April.

Prior to that surprise 22-0 victory, the Warriors had looked devoid of confidence or ideas in demoralising home defeats to St Helens and Leeds - failing to score a try in either.

Magic opponents don't come much tougher than Warrington, who have beaten Wigan by 26 and 13-point margins in their two Super League meetings this season.

Steve Price's Wolves head to Newcastle following a home defeat to champions Saints, all but ending their hopes of a top-two finish and a home semi-final in the playoffs.

But despite that defeat there were encouraging signs for Price to take and they can at least consolidate their grip on third with victory over their fourth-placed opponents.

Warrington are asked to give up eight points on the handicap which should be well within range for a Wolves outfit who welcome back former Wigan winger Josh Charnley and half-back Blake Austin to their squad.

Leigh Centurions v Hull Kingston Rovers

Where to watch

Sky Sports Arena, 5.30pm Sunday

Best bet

Leigh +16
1pt 20-21 Betfred

Match preview

Leigh's victory over Salford a couple of weeks ago has proved to be a false dawn with the basement boys put firmly in their place by St Helens and Catalans since.

Magic opponents Hull Kingston Rovers are not in the same ilk as that pair but they do have to win to keep their playoff dreams alive and will be highly motivated at St James' Park.

After an outstanding campaign, Rovers have hit the buffers in the last month, losing for a third time in succession at Huddersfield last week and slipping out of the playoff places.

With top-six rivals Hull and Leeds facing each other and Castleford facing a potentially tricky assignment with Salford, Rovers know they have a golden opportunity to reignite their playoff claims against a side who have lost 18 of their 19 league matches this term.

That said, Leigh have been more competitive as the season has gone on and pushed Rovers all the way a month ago with the East Hull outfit edging out the Centurions by just six points. They could put up a fight in Newcastle armed with a 16-point handicap buffer.
