Betfred Challenge Cup winners St Helens play for the first time since their Wembley triumph on Monday night as they look to keep up the heat on Super League leaders Catalans Dragons.

The reigning league champions head to Hull, the scene of their dramatic Grand Final success in November, to take on an Airlie Birds outfit in danger of missing out on the playoffs after two straight defeats since returning to action at Huddersfield less than two weeks ago.

Hull also have a short turnaround to contend with after Thursday's home defeat to Leeds Rhinos and are still without a number of key long-term absentees.

Saints, meanwhile, have a near full-strength squad at their disposal and the 2-5 favourites are fancied to continue their recent dominance of this fixture.

The visitors have won 13 of the pair's last 15 league and cup meetings, including each of the last ten, and can maintain that streak whilst beating the handicap line set for Monday's clash.

Challenge Cup runners-up Castleford are also in action for the first time since the Wembley showpiece as they host Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield.

The Tigers are down to bare bones due to Covid absences and have included three short-term loanees snapped up on Saturday in their 19-man squad to take on the Giants.

Huddersfield had been showing signs of improvement without getting over the line until their 40-26 win over Hull last time out and a 12-point handicap may not stop them against a depleted Cas side.

League leaders Catalans are 4-6 to complete a quick double over Hull KR, who they beat by two points in France only nine days ago, in Monday's third fixture.
