Covid-19 protocols continue to decimate the Betfred Super League fixture list with three games scheduled for this weekend called off.

Thursday's televised offering between Huddersfield and Hull is still on but the night's other scheduled game between Leigh and Warrington has been called off due to a Covid outbreak in the Wolves camp, while Challenge Cup finalists St Helens and Castleford have also called off their matches this weekend.

Cup winners Saints were due to host Hull KR on Friday, while Cas were set to travel to Catalans on Saturday. The Dragons will now entertain Rovers instead.

Huddersfield head into their clash with Hull on a run of six straight defeats but that doesn't tell the whole story about the transitional Giants and they could be the bet with a start on the handicap.

The Giants' last two reverses have both been two-point defeats to Wigan and only two of those six losses have come by more than a seven-point margin.

Ian Watson's men lost to Hull 17-10 in that sequence on June 25 which was remarkably the Airlie Birds' last competitive hit out.

There is bound to be rustiness in the Hull camp given this will be their first match in almost four weeks and coach Brett Hodgson is also without a raft of first-teamers due to injury and Covid-19 return-to-play procedures.
