Warrington Wolves are all but out of the race for the Super League playoffs as they prepare to host Leigh Leopards on Saturday.

Warrington Wolves vs Leigh Leopards preview

Leigh Leopards are seeking their first away win against Warrington since 1987 this weekend and Adrian Lam's team should be able to end their wait when they visit the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday in Super League.

Including their 2021 fixture at St Helens, the Wire have won their last 14 home matches against the Leopards, but Warrington are desperate for the season to end.

Wire chairman Stuart Middleton has already confirmed that coach Sam Burgess will remain in charge next season but rumours are still rife about his future.

Warrington have lost five of their last six matches in Super League to practically ruin any chances of the playoffs and they face a Leigh side who have won six of their last eight.

Adrian Lam's team have scored 38 points or more in two consecutive matches and they should be able to overpower Warrington.

The hosts are without captain George Williams, which will reduce their creativity, and Leigh's forwards will lay down a platform for their team to succeed from the outset.

Key stats for Warrington Wolves vs Leigh Leopards
