Warrington Wolves won one of the worst matches in Betfred Super League history last week but they may find it hard to make it consecutive wins on Sunday.

The Wolves beat Hull FC 4-0 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium last Friday in a match settled by two penalty kicks from Stefan Ratchford.

The Wolves will have been delighted to finally land a victory following five straight defeats but it was miserable encounter and typical of Warrington's season.

Daryl Powell's men are marooned at the wrong end of the table following six wins from 16 matches and it is hard to see why bookies are so bullish about their chances this Sunday.

Wire are 4-9 favourites to beat a Salford side who ran in 13 tries during a trouncing of Wakefield last Sunday.

Although Warrington should be far too strong for the Red Devils they should have been far too strong for most teams this season, but they haven't been, and they are hard to trust at the prices.

Salford will be in good spirits after their Trinity blitz and an eight-point start looks generous.

Wakefield must dust themselves down against the league's highest scorers in Wigan at Belle Vue and things could get messy once again for woeful Wakey.

The Warriors are hot on the heels of leaders St Helens in second spot and are scoring points at a rate of just over 27 per game.

They have won eight of their last nine meetings with Wakefield and have scored 22 points or more in each of their last eight fixtures.

Wigan should have little trouble taking care of a 12-point handicap at Belle Vue.
