Blake Austin’s participation has dominated the pre-match debate and bookmakers are taking no chances offering the Wolves playmaker at 7-1 to be named man of the match but there are better bets to be awarded the Lance Todd Trophy, including Austin’s teammate Stefan Ratchford.

Man of the match in last year’s Grand Final, Ratchford was an early season standout until a shoulder injury ruled him out for over two months in May. He has been in good form since returning in last month’s semi-final win over Hull.

Given the strong record of full-backs in recent years, Saints custodian Lachlan Coote is a standout bet.

Wire flyer Jake Mamo has scored in seven of his 16 league outings this year, including in both outings against Saints, and he may touch down today.

Only two of the thirty-six finals since the introduction of the sin bin in 1983 have produced yellow cards so the 8-11 about no yellow being shown looks a huge price.

Recommendations
L Coote man of the match
2pts 11-2 general
S Ratchford man of the match
1pt 14-1 Betway
J Mamo to score a try
1pt 15-8 Betfair
No yellow card to be shown
6pts 8-11 Sky Bet
