Sneyd to show he's still the main man for Hull
Final: Hull v Wigan
BBC1, 3pm Saturday
Only St Helens full-back Paul Wellens (in 2007 and 2008) has won the Lance Todd Trophy at successive Ladbrokes Challenge Cup finals but last year's Wembley man of the match Marc Sneyd still looks worth backing at 7-1 to repeat the feat.
The Hull half-back froze so badly in his first cup final appearance for Castleford in 2014 that he was hooked early on but Sneyd pulled the strings brilliantly 12 months ago and is now a serious big-stage performer.
He took the individual honours in this year's semi-final success over Leeds and was outstanding in the victory over Wigan at the same stage of the 2016 Challenge Cup.
His cool kicking and astute game management are likely to make Sneyd the pick if Hull retain the trophy.
Sneyd was the second scrum-half to win the Lance Todd since the final returned to Wembley in 2007 (the other was Matty Smith for Wigan against Hull in 2013) but the most common winning position is full-back with three successes so it may pay to support Jamie Shaul and Sam Tomkins at 16-1 and 10-1 respectively.
Shaul is one of the most exciting kick returners in the Betfred Super League and Tomkins is beginning to show the form he displayed during his first spell at Wigan from 2008-2013.
Both players have scored a Wembley try so may attract interest in the tryscorer markets but Hull winger Steve Michaels looks the man to be on at 7-4 to touch down at any time.
The Australian has scored in both league clashes with the Warriors this season and also notched in the semi-final win over Wigan last year.
It's worth making the annual warning about betting in the card markets in the Challenge Cup final.
The last player sin-binned was Shane Rigon of Bradford 16 years ago and no one has been sent off since Widnes forward Richie Eyres was red-carded in 1993.
