After starting the Betfred Super League season with four consecutive games on the road, Leeds will be hoping it’s a case of home sweet home as they return to Headingley for the first time in 2019.

The Rhinos are 5-11 to make it a happy homecoming against Wakefield, who are 11-5 to spring a surprise and a repeat of last season’s draw in the corresponding fixture is a 25-1 chance. Under this season's rules, Golden Point extra-time would then decide the outcome.

Leeds should see this match as a springboard to shoot up the table. It starts a run of four consecutive games against sides currently outside the playoff places - a stark contrast to their opening quartet of fixtures.

Dave Furner’s side won 46-14 at Salford but lost at big hitters Warrington, Wigan and St Helens. There was no disgrace in that, particularly as the Rhinos have shown steady improvement in each outing since their opening 26-6 defeat at the Wolves.

A week ago, Leeds led Saints 22-10 at half-time before going down 27-22 in a match that could have gone either way.

Centre Konrad Hurrell was in barnstorming form and the new half-back pairing of Richie Myler and Tui Lolohea looks as if it is starting to gel.

The hosts welcome back hooker Matt Parcell and forward James Donaldson after injury forced them to miss the Saints game but Stevie Ward is sidelined with a knee injury.

A repeat of last weekend’s level of performance ought to be enough to take care of Trinity, who won for the first time this year when grinding out a 22-12 triumph at home to Catalans last Thursday.

Wakey’s only away game so far, however, resulted in a 42-24 humbling at new boys London.

Since the start of last season, Chris Chester’s team have lost ten of their 16 away trips and eight of those losses have been by more than the six-point handicap set for the Headingley contest.

Leeds look worth backing to deepen Trinity’s travel woes and cover the line.

Elsewhere, Castleford are 2-9 to make it four out of four by winning against Hull KR at the Jungle.

Rovers managed a draw in the corresponding fixture last season but it’s difficult to oppose the Tigers in their current mood.

However, the 14-point handicap is a poser for punters as that’s the margin by which KR were beaten by Warrington in their previous away game this term.
