Inconsistency has plagued Hull FC and Warrington in the opening five rounds of the Betfred Super League season and it may be a struggle for either side to get a grip on this contest.

Both spent big in the off-season and it looked to have paid off as Hull hammered Leeds in round one while Warrington were thumping champions St Helens.

It has been a struggle for them to build on those results, though, with Hull losing three on the bounce before last week's nail-biting golden-point triumph at Wakefield.

Warrington also had to get back to winning ways with an equally nervy 9-8 home win against Castleford and they are fancied to make it two wins on the bounce at the KCom Stadium.

It won't be easy against a hefty Hull side but Lee Radford's men are without eight of their first-choice side and that could be where they fall short.

Ligi Sao, Manu Ma'u, Jake Connor, Bureta Fairamo and Ratu Naulago are just some of the names missing and the Wolves could take advantage.

Hull's home form is also a concern with the Black & Whites having won just nine of their last 25 matches at the KCom.

The Wolves are slight underdogs for this contest but it may pay to back them to edge to a narrow victory.

They get a two-point start on the handicap at evens but the 5-2 that they get home by no more than two converted tries looks the way to go.
