St Helens moved six points clear at the top of the Betfred Super League table last Sunday with a convincing Magic Weekend victory over Castleford, but their attentions turn to the Coral Challenge Cup on Saturday with a home quarter-final against Wakefield.

Justin Holbrook's Saints are a side on a mission in 2019 having ended last term, in which they were by far the best team in the country, with only the League Leaders' Shield to show for their dominance after being bundled out of the cup and Super League playoffs at the semi-final stage.

Saints have lost only once in this campaign and bookmakers expect them to saunter into the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup with an easy victory over Wakefield. The hosts are 1-7 to win in 80 minutes and asked to give up 16 points on the handicap.

Visitors Wakey have lost their last two games to Catalans at the Magic Weekend (18-25) and at London (42-34) when they put in a terrible first-half performance.

But Trinity are not a bad side and ran Saints close in their league encounter earlier in the season, when Louis McCarthy-Scarsbrook scored a last-gasp try to hand Saints a 24-18 win at Belle Vue.

Therefore it could be wise to back St Helens to win by one to 12 points given that they also squeezed past Huddersfield in the previous round and Wakefield are unlikely to roll over easily.

Recommendation
St Helens to win by one to 12 points
