Dual-code international Israel Folau could make his Catalans Dragons bow against Castleford in Perpignan on Saturday but the Tigers could ensure it is a debut to forget for the Australian.

Catalans' signing of controversial Folau after his sacking by Australia Rugby was met with derision from large parts of the rugby league fraternity, although there is no doubt he will be an asset on the field for the French outfit.

The Dragons were beaten comprehensively on their only Super League outing of the season at home to Huddersfield and the Giants' Yorkshire counterparts Cas look a good bet on the handicap to maintain their perfect start to the season.

The Tigers were too strong for new boys Toronto on the opening weekend and followed that success with an attritional victory over Wigan last week.

That success against the Warriors came despite Cas having a number of players on the sidelines but Daryl Powell can boast a much stronger hand for the trip to France with Mike McMeeken, George Griffin, Tyla Hepi and Junior Moors in his 21-man squad.

A punt on Castleford in the match market is tempting but take the insurance of a four-point start.
