Saturday's Betfred Super League predictions

Leeds Rhinos are starting to show they mean business this season and they should be able to move into third place in the Betfred Super League when they take on Castleford Tigers on Saturday.

Brad Arthur's side are fourth after last week's last-gasp 18-16 victory over Hull FC, and they can move into third this week after Leigh Leopards lost 12-26 to the Airlie Birds on Thursday.

Leeds have been ruthless in defence all season, conceding only 127 points and they should be able to suffocate a Castleford team that have only beaten Salford Red Devils and Huddersfield Giants this season.

Danny McGuire's team are improving but Leeds are better than them in all departments and are proving to be a tough nut to crack under Arthur.

Wigan Warriors are only four points ahead of Leeds in second and they should maintain that advantage when they travel to Perpignan to take on Catalans Dragons.

The French club have handed assistant coach Joel Tomkins the reigns after sacking Steve McNamara earlier this week, and while they should respond after a 40-0 defeat to St Helens, they are unlikely to stop Wigan from winning a seventh match in a row.

Wigan have triumphed on their last two visits to Perpignan and their free-flowing attack should be able to exploit Catalans' weaknesses and cover the eight-point handicap.
