Friday's Betfred Super League predictions

Leigh Leopards have beaten three of the best five teams in Super League in recent weeks and they should be able to maintain their push for a top-two spot when they host Warrington Wolves at Leigh Sports Village on Friday night.

Adrian Lam's side have been consistent in recent weeks, winning six of their last nine matches. Victories over Wigan Warriors, Hull Kingston Rovers and St Helens have added further evidence to suggest that they can be competitive in the playoffs, but they still harbour hopes of finishing in the top two.

While Leigh fans are dreaming about what could be this season, Warrington may soon be wanting the campaign to end. The Wire have been inconsistent all year and they have lost four of their last seven matches.

Leigh have won their last four home meetings with Warrington and their passionate fanbase should make life very difficult for the visitors.

There should be another routine home win for St Helens as they host Castleford Tigers.

St Helens beat Castleford 46-6 in February and they have built their success on a resolute defence. Paul Wellens' team have been laboured in attack, but they may well concede a single-figure score, which will help them cover the handicap.

Castleford have made improvements defensively in recent weeks under interim coach Chris Chester, but Saints have scored 40 or more points in their last two matches against the Tigers.

Saints still have work to do to secure their spot in the top six and a home game against the Tigers presents an opportunity for them to restore some confidence after their defeat to the Leopards.
