Thursday's Betfred Super League predictions
Leigh Leopards have been knocking the spots off their Super League rivals and they can claim another prize scalp on Thursday.
Hull KR and Wigan Warriors, first and second in the standings, were sent packing by Adrian Lam's men last month, and third-placed Leigh followed that up by beating fourth-placed St Helens and Warrington Wolves in their last two outings.
Leeds Rhinos, fifth in the table, are next to take on the all-conquering Leopards and they may be the latest playoff rivals to get short shrift.
Lam's men were hammered by the Rhinos at Headingley in round 16, but that 48-30 loss only served as a wake-up call and the Leopards went on that phenomenal unbeaten four-match run in response.
Leeds will be no pushovers and they have a great recent record in this fixture having won the last three meetings. But defeats to Wakefield and St Helens in two of their last three outings suggest they are not in the right shape to secure a quickfire double over Leigh.
The Leopards have the added incentive of leapfrogging Wigan into second place with a victory in this contest, and they will be roared on by a ferocious home following at the Leigh Sports Village.
Covering a two-point handicap should pose Leigh few problems.
