Saturday's Betfred Super League predictions

Rejuvenated Hull FC have already won twice as many league matches this term than they did in the whole of the 2024 Super League campaign and there may be more to come from the Black & Whites.

Hull take on Catalans Dragons in the south of France having already won there in round one with an emphatic 24-4 victory to stun not only the locals but the rest of the competition.

Hull finished joint-bottom with just three wins last season and avoided last place only on points difference from London Broncos. But they find themselves in the playoff mix this time around after 12 matches.

A trip to the Dragons' den is not as fearful as it once was and the Airlie Birds will be full of confidence following last week's impressive 26-12 win at Leigh. They look the best bet at 11-10 to collect another away victory.

That was Hull's sixth win on the road and they can extend that sequence against a Catalans side who have failed to score in their last two matches while shipping 84 points.

Head coach Steve McNamara paid for those results with his job and things could get worse before they get better for the French strugglers.

Leeds are also performing better than last season and they are firmly in the playoff picture, too, following a run of five wins from their last six matches.

The Rhinos opened the campaign with a shock home loss to Wakefield Trinity in round one but they get the chance to exact revenge on Saturday.

It won't be easy, though, as Wakey arrive having run up a 72-point haul against Salford last week, following on from a 40-10 pasting of Warrington Wolves prior to that, so a close contest looks likely.

Trinity on the handicap may appeal to most, but backing Leeds to edge a win by no more than 12 points offers a better-value return.
