The regular season of the 2020 Betfred Super League season will come to a premature end on Friday with two televised matches from Headingley.

An increase in positive Covid-19 tests instigated the decision to bring forward the playoffs earlier this week with the top six, rather than four, now receiving a shot at title glory.

Neither Salford nor Wakefield can make the top six after the Red Devils were on Tuesday docked three wins for a financial breach.

Trinity have made five changes to the squad who narrowly missed out on recording a fourth win in a row against Leeds last week but with some of their big guns, such as Tom Johnstone, back they can end the season on a high.

Wigan will win the League Leaders' Shield for the first time since 2012 should they beat Huddersfield in the final regular-season game of 2020.

The Warriors have won three in a row since Leeds dumped them out of the Challenge Cup and are a side with the bit between their teeth.

Opponents Huddersfield have lost their last four games but all have been by eight points or fewer so they shouldn't go down without a fight.
