No team have won more Betfred Super League Grand Finals than the Leeds Rhinos but reaching another Old Trafford showpiece couldn't be further from the Headingley club's thinking.

With just ten games of the regular season remaining Leeds are rock-bottom of the table, two points adrift of the clubs above them and staring down the barrel of an unthinkable relegation.

The wounded Rhinos take on fifth-placed Catalans on Sunday afternoon with midweek signings Robert Lui and Shaun Lunt, who won a Grand Final with Leeds in 2012, likely to feature as they plot a way out of their current plight.

However, club captain Kallum Watkins will not be able to make his Rhinos farewell before a move to the NRL due to the Australian competition's registration deadline.

Victory by more than a four-point margin would see Leeds move up to ninth and they could not have chosen better opponents to begin a their potential revival against than depleted Catalans, who have conceded 165 points in four successive defeats.

Leeds have shown greater effort in recent weeks but if they get over the line it is likely to be by a narrow margin such is the fragility of their goal-line defence this season.

Sunday's other clash sees Leeds's relegation rivals London bid for a fifth win in six games at Castleford.

The Broncos have become only the second side to beat runaway leaders St Helens in that sequence and look a handicap bet with a 12-point start against a Cas team who have lost three of their last four games. Their sole win in that time came by a single-point against ailing Huddersfield.
