Saturday's Betfred Challenge Cup semi-final predictions

Hull KR were beaten Challenge Cup finalists in 2023 but the Robins have gone from strength to strength since then and are just 80 minutes away from their second Wembley appearance in three years.

The Robins face Catalans Dragons at the York Community Stadium on Saturday in prime condition, and they are two points clear at the top of Super League having lost just once in the league after ten rounds, while they are warm favourites to lift the Challenge Cup in London on June 7.

Rovers have beaten York, Oldham and rivals Hull FC to get to this stage and next face 2018 champions Catalans Dragons.

The French side have dominated recent meetings with the East Hull outfit, winning 11 of the past 13 encounters, but these sides have gone in different directions this term and Hull KR are fancied to book their place in the final with a narrow victory in York.

It was 36-4 to the Robins when these two last met in August of last season, but the French side should be able to keep things tighter this time.

Steve McNamara’s side have got their act together following a slow start to this campaign, but Rovers took the opportunity to rest key men for last week’s 54-0 stroll over beleaguered Salford at Magic Weekend, while the Dragons were edged 26-24 by Leigh Leopards in Newcastle.

The in-form Leopards face struggling Warrington Wolves in Sunday's semi-final, so Hull KR could get the chance to exact their revenge for the golden-point loss to Leigh in that 2023 final, which finished 16-16 after 80 pulsating minutes.
