Rovers should edge crucial clash
National League BT Sport 1, 3pm Friday
Both sides in this televised National League clash are on the wrong side of a promotion dividing line.
Tranmere lost vital ground to National League leaders Lincoln with their 1-0 home defeat by Forest Green on Tuesday, leaving them three points behind with a worse goal difference.
Boss Micky Mellon praised their performance in the defeat even though Rovers' finishing deserted them after they put nine past Solihull in their previous match.
Aldershot, four-game winning run was ended by a 1-1 draw with Torquay last Saturday. They are clinging on to the final playoff place on goal difference but rivals Dover have a game in hand.
Tranmere should have the edge, but an injury to midfielder Jay Harris is a blow and with both sides having conceded only three goals each in their last six games a tight encounter is likely.

Midfielder Jay Harris (knee) will miss the rest of the season.
Goalkeeper Jake Cole (leg) is a doubt after being carried off against Torquay. Mark Smith is their back-up goalie.
Tranmere and Aldershot have conceded the fewest goals in the National League (both 35 in 42 games).
