Reduced field for Cactus Tour action but hotshot Haley tees off

Only 16 players went to post in the latest Cactus Tour event, which started in Arizona on Wednesday, with Sophia Popov the most high-profile absentee.

Haley Moore, the 9-2 Racing Post Sport recommendation, teed off as a well-backed 5-2 favourite. But Ariana Macioce, the other selection, was among the non-runners.

The three-round event is scheduled to end on Friday. The Cactus Tour has been the centre of golf-betting attention since the coronavirus destroyed the main tour schedules.
