Rangers and Celtic expected to progress in Europa League

Malmo could be a value bet

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard

Playoff second legs
From 3pm Thursday

Bookmakers have few doubts that Celtic will finish off Suduva at Parkhead and are almost as bullish about Rangers’ chances in the Europa League playoff second legs.

The Bhoys could only draw 1-1 in Lithuania last week but Brendan Rodgers’ side are 1-8 to win the return.

Rangers, meanwhile, take a slender 1-0 lead to the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan’s capital city Ufa, although that is a massive advantage according to the layers, who are a top price 1-4 that Steven Gerrard’s men make it into the hat for the group stage.

Ufa aren’t in good form with boss Sergei Tomarov admitting that confidence in the camp is low.

For better value punters should have a look at Malmo at 13-5 at Midtjylland.

Wasteful finishing has left Malmo’s Europa League destiny on a knife-edge but they can get it right at the second time of asking against their Danish rivals.

Uwe Rosler’s men had to settle for a 2-2 draw after leading 2-0 but created so many chances that they have to be confident ahead of the second-leg showdown.

Recommendation
Malmo
1pt 13-5 Betfred
