Preview

Kevin De Bruyne is yet to register an assist in the Premier League this season as he returns to full fitness. But for a player who has averaged 16 assists a season for the last two campaigns, it is surely a case of when rather than if.

The Belgian notched two assists in two games for his national side in the last international break and got another in Manchester City’s 5-1 midweek demolition of Club Brugge.

Odds of 15-8 about him opening his assist account for the season against Brighton appeal given he is odds-on with most layers.

Mathias Normann registered his fourth consecutive game with at least two shots last week against Brighton and Norwich’s free-kick taker now has a shots per 90 minutes rate above that of Harry Kane’s and comfortably in the top 30 in the Premier League.

Odds of 12-5 are too appealing to ignore for him to do the same again against Chelsea.

Against Manchester City, Burnley looked to utilise the pace of new signing Maxwell Cornet, playing him as a striker. While he may not line up there against Southampton, it’s clear Sean Dyche views Cornet as a viable attacking option.

Cornet has amassed five shots in his 133 minutes of Premier League football and had five shots in a single game in Burnley’s EFL Cup win over Rochdale. The Ivorian is clearly not afraid to try his luck and 11-5 for him to have two or more shots against the Saints is of interest.

Marc Guehi is yet to be booked this season, but picked up eight yellows last term when on loan at Swansea. The centre back will be up against Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin and 15-2 could prove overpriced for him to pick up his first card of the year.
