The Premier League’s elite avoided each other in the draw for the last 16 of the FA Cup which points towards a potentially high-class quarter-final line-up.

Favourites Manchester City will head to Sky Bet League One leaders Wigan in a repeat of the 2013 final – won by the Latics – but those on Pep Guardiola’s side to land the quadruple will be delighted with the fixture.

Chelsea should have no problem overcoming Hull at home, while Manchester United will head to either Huddersfield or BirminghamTottenham will travel to Millwall or Rochdale if they get past Newport at Wembley.

City have agreed to pay the release clause for Athletic Bilbao centre-back Aymeric Laporte and Chelsea look set to sign Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri.

West Brom could loan Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge and Brighton have borrowed Leonardo Ulloa from Leicester.
