Premier League giants kept apart in fifth-round draw
Quarter-finals could be tasty
The Premier League’s elite avoided each other in the draw for the last 16 of the FA Cup which points towards a potentially high-class quarter-final line-up.
Favourites Manchester City will head to Sky Bet League One leaders Wigan in a repeat of the 2013 final – won by the Latics – but those on Pep Guardiola’s side to land the quadruple will be delighted with the fixture.
Chelsea should have no problem overcoming Hull at home, while Manchester United will head to either Huddersfield or Birmingham. Tottenham will travel to Millwall or Rochdale if they get past Newport at Wembley.
With transfer deadline day approaching tomorrow – you can follow our live blog on racingpost.com – a number of deals are moving closer to completion.
Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal in principle to sign Borussia Dortmund Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while Tottenham are expected to bring Paris St-Germain winger Lucas Moura to north London before the window closes.
