Pacos Ferreira were playing in the Europa League a shade over three years ago but are facing a relegation battle in the Portuguese Primeira Liga and could slide deeper into trouble with a defeat at home to fellow strugglers Portimonense.

All of third-bottom Pacos Ferreira's three league victories this season have come in home games and they are favourites to defeat Portimonense, who are four points above them.

However, it is hard to fancy Armando Petit's side, who have taken just one point from their last six league games.

Pacos Ferreira have shipped 33 league goals this season - giving them the joint-worst defensive record in the division alongside second-bottom Estoril - and are just one point above the relegation zone.

They have lacked a credible threat up front since four-goal top scorer Welthon sustained an injury during a 1-1 draw away to Belenenses a month ago.

Given their problems Pacos Ferreira are easy to oppose and punters shouldn't read too much into the poor away record of Portimonense, who have failed to win on their travels this season.

Portimonense have drawn three and lost five of their away league fixtures but four of those defeats were against the divisional heavyweights - Porto, SportingBenfica and Braga.

They have plenty of winnable away games left on their schedule and have done well on their last two road trips - a pair of 2-2 draws against Benfica and Braga in the Portuguese League Cup group stage.

Portimonense are the highest scorers among the bottom-half clubs - netting 22 goals in 18 league games - and look ready to end their away-day agony.
