Brexit 4-1 to go ahead before the end of March

There was no shock outcome in Westminster with Prime Minister Theresa May fighting off a bid to remove her government after winning a no-confidence vote 325-306.

May had been a 50-1 shot to be ousted and as expected the DUP and rebel Tory MPs voted for her to remain despite voting down the PM's Brexit proposal in a historic defeat on Tuesday.

A second European Union referendum is a best-priced 6-4 with BoyleSports and a number of bookmakers offer 4-7 there will be no second trip to the polls to vote on Brexit.

However, those hoping for a swift resolution to the saga are likely to be left disappointed according to Sky Bet's odds with 4-1 being offered about a departure from the EU before the end of March.

It is only 9-4 that Brexit has not happened before the start of 2022 but May said: "The House has put its confidence in this government. I stand ready to work with any member of this House to deliver Brexit and ensure that this House retains the confidence of the British people."

May, who will return to the Commons on Monday to deliver Plan B for MPs to vote on, is 2-5 with Coral to no longer be the Prime Minister by the end of 2019.
