Millwall narrowly avoided an upset in the EFL Cup first round, beating Gillingham 3-1 on penalties after a goalless draw at the Den, and may struggle to make the most of home advantage against Plymouth, who are propping up the Sky Bet League One table.

The Lions are hampered by injuries and transfer speculation with centre-back Shaun Hutchinson sidelined with a knee problem and influential midfielder George Saville missing training amid talk of a possible switch to Middlesbrough.

Manager Neil Harris is planning changes in an effort to keep key men fresh for Saturday's game at home to Swansea and a weakened line-up may offer encouragement to the visitors.

Argyle triumphed 1-0 away to a second string Bristol City side in the last round and will be planning something similar as they bid to bounce back from Saturday's 5-1 loss at home to Peterborough.

They look overpriced at 13-2 but are a safer option in receipt of a one-goal start on the Asian handicap, ensuring a payout in the event of a draw or a victory with stakes returned should they lose by a single goal.

Recommendation
Plymouth +1 on Asian handicap
