Challenge Cup Pool Three

Gloucester have won their last 15 Challenge Cup home pool games and will be buzzing after grabbing a try-bonus success at Agen last weekend. However, Pau with a start of ten points looks the bet in this top-spot decider at Kingsholm.

With qualification for the last eight secure and a berth in the Top 14 playoffs unlikely even at this stage of the season, Pau are clearly up for the challenge and are a perfect five wins from five in the pool.

Conrad Smith, Colin Slade and Frank Halai are three former All Blacks in the away backline and they boast a back row of Ben Mowen, Sean Dougall and Steffon Armitage who are ace snafflers at the breakdown and good ball-carriers in the loose.

Gloucester's form in all league and cup competitions this campaign suggests they can avenge October's 27-21 defeat in France but it is highly unlikely to be a stroll.
