Overachievers Kayserispor can hold Galatasaray
Turkish Super Lig, 5pm Monday
Just seven points cover the top seven teams, so a massive battle is on the cards for the title and the European qualification places. Second place guarantees passage to the Champions League qualifiers, while third and fourth brings a place in Europa League qualifying.
Kayserispor last played European football in 2008 but they have been consistent this season and haven't been out of the top six since September.
Ex-Turkish international striker Umut Bulut has been their star man, netting nine goals in 17 league appearances, and the 34-year-old has added motivation because he spent four seasons with Galatasaray before leaving in the summer of 2016.
Bulut's career appeared to be in decline at Gala, where he netted just four times in his final season, but he has notched eight goals in his last nine games and is an obvious danger to his former club.
Galatasaray got off to a flying start this term and topped the division until late November.
However, they lost their last three away games last year and have a bit to prove as they prepare for their first league match in 2018.
Fatih Terim's side went into the weekend only one point behind leaders Istanbul Buyuksehir and with the best scoring record of 37 goals in 17 league games.
Experienced striker Bafetimbi Gomis has spearheaded the title push with 14 goals in 17 league matches and was back among the goals on Thursday, scoring in a 3-0 success at second division Bucaspor in the group stage of the Turkish Cup.
Gomis and Gala are likely to find it much tougher against Kayserispor and may have to settle for a point.
