Zach Johnson should get his act together at Harbour Town

Day two
Sky Sports Golf, 6pm Friday

Zach Johnson's lack of success this season has been caused by a struggle to knit four good rounds together, but he is the class act in his 5.30pm threeball at The Heritage on Friday.

The demands of Harbour Town Links differ greatly from those at the Masters last week.

While Augusta's open fairways are an invitation for big hitters to demonstrate their power, the tight nature of the South Carolina track means accuracy is key and that should play to the strengths of the two-time Major winner from Iowa.

Johnson began his quest with a solid 71 - he is six shots behind leader Rory Sabbatini - and while his eighth place at the RSM Classic in November has been his only top-ten finish of the season, he has claimed three top-20s since the turn of the year.

His tie for 36th at Augusta was not a disgraceful effort and it would be no surprise if this week's course brings out the best of his game.

Johnson claimed second place in this tournament in 2012 and he should be supported to come out on top of his tussle with Stewart Cink and Hudson Swafford.

Cink, who won the 2009 Open, has not had a top-ten finish this season and while he also carded a 71 with his opening effort, it is difficult to trust a player who has posted just two rounds in the 60s in his last 18 tournament spins.

He also has little decent Heritage form to fall back on. He has finished in the top 15 just once in his last nine efforts and that was in 2010.

Swafford endured a miserable opening round and he may struggle to recovery from his 75.

He has done little to threaten the top of leaderboards this season and he could be hard pushed to improve on his tied-for-44th effort of three years ago, which was his best result at the venue.
