Victor Dubuisson has not been seen on the European Tour since the DP World Tour Championship in the middle of November and it is a surprise to find the inactive Frenchman odds-on to beat Thomas Detry in the Spanish Open.
Betway make Dubuisson favourite in a 72-hole contest with Detry, despite the fact their jolly has been away from competition for almost five months. Dubuisson is one of the most mysterious characters on the circuit, seemingly always struggling with some sort of injury or illness, and the reasons for his absence are unclear.

Reports from France suggest he has been doing lots of training and has lost some weight, but it is also obvious that he has been doing plenty of sea fishing, one of his great passions. Has he hit any golf shots? Who knows?
Victor is one of a kind. With so much rust in his system, he must be opposed with improving youngster Detry, who has posted four top-25 finishes in eight starts this season and missed just one cut.
Recommendation
T Detry to beat V Dubuisson
3pts 6-5 Betway
