Rampant Dunne sets up another title tilt
Lowry can see off Hatton at Carnoustie
Sky Sports Golf, from 1pm Friday
British Masters champion Paul Dunne made an excellent start in his quest for back-to-back titles, the buzzing Irishman opening up with a five-under-par 67 in the Dunhill Links Championship.
Dunne tackled a breezy St Andrews, where scoring was tougher than usual, but the ante-post 33-1 chance defied the conditions to become 15-2 favourite. The ante-post 6-1 market leader, Rory McIlroy, carded a disappointing 73.
Second-round twoball punters are pointed towards Shane Lowry for his 10.17am meeting with Tyrrell Hatton at Carnoustie. Lowry's superior tee-to-green control should prove decisive on the toughest of the three layouts being used this week.
Chris Wood withdrew from the tournament prior to teeing off, so stakes on the Englishman, who was well backed at 33-1, will be refunded. Brandon Hagy was a non-runner on the US Tour, failing to start the Safeway Open.
