Kisner can get back into the swing of things at Greensboro

Kevin Kisner will have thought a lot in the last few days about the USPGA Championship that he wasn't able to capture on Sunday.

A final-round 74 meant he was able to only tie for seventh at Quail Hollow after leading the last Major of the season with 18 holes to go.

But while it was a disappointment, it was not a meltdown of Jean van der Velde proportions and he should be able to bounce back at the Wyndham Championship.

History suggests the 33-year-old should perform well at Greensboro, where he has finished eighth and tenth in two efforts in the last three years.

Kisner is already a winner this season having triumphed at the Dean & Deluca Invitational and his performance last week was his seventh top-ten finish of the campaign.

It is worth taking a chance he will outperform tournament favourite Henrik Stenson, who is making his first appearance at Sedgefield since 2012.

The 2016 Open champion is playing this week as an insurance to make sure he retains his US Tour card - he would otherwise need to ensure he qualified for next month's Tour Championship to play in the minimum-required 15 tournaments.

Stenson has improved in the second half of the season and has finished lower than 26th just once since missing the cut at the Masters.

But the issue is that he may not be firing on all cylinders this week and he is worth opposing.

Local hope Grayson Murray has been playing some good stuff and he can get the better of Argentinian Emiliano Grillo.

Murray finished 22nd at Quail Hollow, which was a decent show three weeks after he won the Barbasol Championship while the game's big guns were playing in The Open at Royal Birkdale.

He will have had plenty of experience of Bermuda grass having grown up an hour down the road at Raleigh, while Grillo has been struggling.

The 24-year-old, who is making his debut in this event, remains a bright prospect, but he has claimed just one top-ten finish this year -he was seventh at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

He has not bettered 40th in his last seven outings, a run that has included four missed cuts.
