Golden Grillo can chase Rose to the Colonial clubhouse
Solid operators to dominate in sunny Texas
Sky Sports Golf, 6pm Sunday
Story so far
Justin Rose would not even be at Colonial Country Club this week had recently introduced US Tour rules not forced him to enter an event which he had not played for four years, but the Englishman will be delighted with how his schedule switch is working out.
Rose was gutted to miss the BMW PGA Championship in Surrey, but has certainly made the best of it in the Fort Worth Invitational. A typically authorative ball-striking display has seen him reach 14 under par through 54 holes in Texas, leaving the former US Open champion four shots clear at the top of the leaderboard.
Rose, 20-1 ante-post, is no bigger than 3-10 with a round to go, having dominated the event. He hit 14 under through just six holes of round three, but failed to kick on from there.
Emiliano Grillo and Brooks Koepka are tied for second place, with a further two-shot gap to the pack in fourth, headlined by Jon Rahm. Jordan Spieth needs a miracle round to take the title, the former world number one sharing 38th place, 11 shots adrift.

Final-round advice
The final pairing of Justin Rose and Emiliano Grillo suffered over the closing seven holes of round three, neither player making a birdie, but these two greens in regulation machines are still first and second with a round to go.
Brooks Koepka holed a long putt at the 18th to join Grillo in second spot, but Rose and Grillo have produced the most consistent golf all week – two tidy operators enjoying the challenge of a tight, tree-lined track – and they can retain their positions all the way to the finishing line.
Colonial Country Club is becoming a grind, with seriously high temperatures sapping the players of energy, and Koepka lost his mind with an ugly seven at the 11th hole in round three. Rose and Grillo can be relied upon to find fairways and greens, taking pressure off themselves, avoiding big numbers.
Grillo played some excellent tee-to-green golf on his way to the hut on Saturday, denied progress by a misbehaving putter, but his putting generally this season has been much improved. The in-form Argentinian lies 38th in the US Tour strokes-gained putting stats, so expect a few putts to drop in round four.
Betfred have served up a good value wager by offering stand-out each-way terms of a a third the odds, two places, while also chalking up top-price Grillo at 10-1. That offer should be gobbled up, while the 21-10 with Sky Bet about Rose and Grillo filling the first two places on the board, in either order, is also well worth an interest.
The final twoball of Rose and Koepka is scheduled on the tee at 7.05pm UK and Ireland time, with another scorching, windless day in store.
