A 2-0 defeat to Australia in their opening match at the Olympics showed the Argentina team competing in Tokyo are a far cry from the side who won this year's Copa America but the nation's youngsters can impress against Egypt.

There are few household names in the Argentina Under-23 squad but Ezequiel Barco and Thiago Almada are both attacking players capable of causing problems while striker Adolfo Gaich has netted nine goals in 17 matches for club side CSKA Moscow.

In the Conmebol pre-Olympic tournament last year, this Argentina side won six of their seven assignments to be crowned champions of the event and they have also enjoyed wins over Japan, Denmark and Saudi Arabia this year.

Opponents Egypt meanwhile only played two games this year before the tournament - both against South Africa in June - and are worth opposing.
