Odds against Kyle Edmund reaching semi-finals

Grigor Dimitrov a big favourite in Melbourne

Kyle Edmund has reached the last eight at the Australian Open

Dimitrov v Edmund, Eurosport, 3.30am Tuesday

Kyle Edmund continues to fly the flag for Britain in Andy Murray's absence but bookmakers are expecting the Yorkshireman's dream run to come to an end in the last eight when he meets bullish Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.

Edmund showed plenty of courage to record his last-16 victory over Italian Andreas Seppi. The Brit was struggling at a set and a break down but upped his game when it mattered most.

However tackling a dominant Dimitrov, who defeated home hope Nick Kyrgios in four sets, could prove too much and he is 11-4 to reach the last four.

The Bulgarian is a red-hot favourite and he looks in good enough shape to reach a second consecutive semi-final in Melbourne.
