North Group leaders Derbyshire look worth a bet
Keaton Jennings absence hurts Lancashire's batting
North & South Group matches
There are some short-priced favourites on the One-Day Cup coupon with Hampshire (away to Glamorgan), Warwickshire (at home to Leicestershire) and Nottinghamshire (away to Durham) all trading at around the 1-2 mark.
Bookmakers are expecting a closer contest when North Group leaders Derbyshire welcome Lancashire and the hosts are worth an interest at 6-5.
They have won four of their six matches, losing to high-flying Worcestershire and Yorkshire, and came away from a tricky trip to Northamptonshire with a 51-run win on Friday.
Skipper Billy Godleman read conditions well at Wantage Road, scoring a measured 125 not out – his second century of the competition – before a clinical bowling display sealed victory.
Lancashire have thumped Durham and Leicestershire, the bottom two in the section, but their other four games ended in three defeats and a washout.
Their batting is weakened by the absence of Keaton Jennings, who has scored a century and two fifties in five One-Day Cup knocks, on England duty and they may well struggle to topple the North Group pacesetters.
Kent have won their last four games in the South Group – the latest of which was a 220-run drubbing of Surrey – and they are 4-6 to beat Gloucestershire, who were in a strong position away to Somerset before being rained off for the third game in a row.
