Nice look a nice price to defeat Lille
Monaco and Paris St-Germain are the French football giants who have shown their quality in this season's Champions League.
But Nice have been hanging on to the heavyweight duo's coat-tails and are four points adrift of Monaco and one behind PSG.
Lucien Favre's side have lost just two league games this season and are 13 points above fourth-placed Lyon with seven games left.
They look nailed on for Champions League qualification and might as well play with some freedom in the remaining games in the hope of catching the top two.
Nice are the lowest scorers among the top four but enigmatic forward Mario Balotelli is feeling confident after scoring two goals in the last three games, taking his seasonal tally to 13 in all competitions.
Defensively they are looking strong - conceding only once on their last three road trips - and they should be fresher than Lille, who lost 2-1 away to Monaco in a French Cup quarter-final on Tuesday.
Lille are one of the big clubs in France but are having a difficult season and are nowhere near the scrap for European places.
They were in relegation danger until a recent improvement which has seen them go undefeated in their last four league matches.
The rest of their campaign will be about trying to finish on a positive note but Lille's need for points is nowhere near as great as that of Nice, who look excellent value to secure their eighth away victory of the campaign.
