Game preview
With San Francisco hosting Green Bay later in the day, Seattle have a huge opportunity to go top of the NFC West, and they can do so by beating Philadelphia.
The Seahawks have been a force to reckon with on offence and quarterback Russell Wilson has looked better than ever with an improved offensive line in front of him.
Wilson has thrown more touchdown passes this season than any other quarterback (23) while at the same time having the joint-fewest interceptions of any starter.
Prior to their bye, Seattle earned a huge win over the 49ers, scoring a field goal deep into overtime to improve their record to 8-2. Key receiver Tyler Lockett left that game with a leg injury, but he is expected to return in time for this clash.
However, Philadelphia are also in win mode as they battle Dallas for top spot in the NFC East, and they have shown their defensive mettle in keeping sides to 17 or fewer points in their last three games.
Their home record is also something to be wary of as they have lost just six of their last 25 games at Lincoln Financial Field, but they did struggle to get going last week against New England.
Seattle’s defence hasn’t been the sturdiest this year and a high-scoring battle could take place, but Pete Carroll’s team have consistently pulled it out of the bag in high-pressure situations and look a great bet at odds-against to secure another victory.
