Seattle Seahawks at Buffalo Bills

Where to watch

Sky Sports NFL, 6pm Sunday

Best bet

Seattle -3
2pts 10-11 general

Match preview

Buffalo laid the ghost of the New England Patriots to rest last week, taking a big step towards winning the AFC East in the process. A first home win over the Pats in nine years sets them up nicely for the visit of the 6-1 Seattle Seahawks, who put the San Francisco 49ers to the sword last week.

However, the Bills still have issues on defence, while the offence that started the year in red hot form has managed just 75 points in the last four games combined.

In what could be a shootout, Seattle possesses too much firepower for Buffalo. Russell Wilson’s offence averages a league-best 34.2 points per game, while their defence can make enough plays to keep the Bills at arms’ length.

Key stats

  • Seattle have won six of their last seven matches.
  • The points total has gone over the line in six of the Seahawks' last eight matches.
  • Buffalo have covered the handicap just once in their last five games.

Miami Dolphins at Arizona Cardinals

Where to watch

Sky Sports NFL, 9.25pm Sunday

Best bet

Under 49.5 points
1pt 20-21 bet365

Match preview

Miami head coach Brian Flores befuddled the Los Angeles Rams with his defensive scheme last Sunday and could cook up a similar gameplan to slow down the in-form Arizona Cardinals.

The Dolphins leaned heavily on the defence to get the 28-17 win over the Rams with rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa struggling in his first start.

Tagovailoa might have more joy moving the ball against the Cardinals defence, but putting up points still won’t be easy.

Arizona enter this game at 5-2 on a three-game winning streak, having beaten up some bad defences along the way. Cards quarterback Kyler Murray hasn’t found the going quite to his liking against better defences though, and his offence could hit the buffers against Miami.

Key stats

  • Miami have covered the handicap in five of their last six matches.
  • The Dolphins have won nine of their last 12 games against Arizona.
  • The points total has gone under the line in five of Arizona's last seven games.

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Where to watch

Sky Sports NFL, 1.20am Sunday night

Best bet

New Orleans +5.5
2pts 4-5 bet365

Match preview

Much like the US election, this NFC South showdown promises plenty of twists and should be exceedingly close. The Saints won the first meeting between the rivals in Week One but the Bucs have improved since and now leading the standings at 6-2.

Tampa Bay are certainly on a roll, led by Tom Brady, who has thrown 18 touchdowns to two interceptions in the last six games. The defence is also performing at a high level but they aren’t likely to blow out a good Saints team who have covered the spread in the last four meetings with Tampa Bay.

New Orleans are also playing well on defence, while the offence is getting healthier and they can stay within touching distance of the Bucs.

Key stats

  • The points total has gone over the line in New Orleans' last seven games.
  • Tampa Bay have won six of their last seven matches.
  • The points total has gone over in five of the last six meetings

NFL Week Nine non-televised best bets

Best bets

Pittsburgh -14.5 v Dallas
2pts 10-11 general
Will Fuller to score a touchdown for Houston v Jacksonville
1pt 5-4 general

Analysis

The season has imploded for the Dallas Cowboys, who are set to start their fourth different quarterback against the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

America’s Team have managed just 22 points on offence in the last three games and now face the best defence in the NFL. The Steelers have managed at least 26 points in every game this year and can crush Dallas.

In a week where he could have been traded to Green Bay, Will Fuller can show the Packers what they are missing out on by getting in the end zone against Jacksonville.

Houston’s star wide receiver has caught touchdown passes in his last five games and is going up against the defence ranked dead last against the pass.
