Washington Commanders vs Miami Dolphins preview 

The NFL International Series concludes with the first game in Madrid as the Washington Commanders and Miami Dolphins face off at the Bernabeu.

Washington were supposed to be Super Bowl contenders after last season’s run to the NFC Championship Game, but nothing has gone right for them this year.

The injury-hit Commanders are 3-7, they are still without quarterback Jayden Daniels and have lost five straight games including four in a row by at least 21 points.

Their season appears all but over but nothing is guaranteed in the NFL, as demonstrated by the Dolphins, who have recovered from a dismal run to win two of their last three, saving head coach Mike McDaniel's job in the process.

Miami scored at least 30 points in victories over Atlanta and Buffalo, and were especially impressive during last weekend’s upset against the Bills, during which running back De’Von Achane erupted for 225 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.

Achane now faces a Washington defence that is ranked 23rd against the run and is giving up 4.6 yards per carry. His presence can ensure the Dolphins return from Spain with a fourth win of the season.
