The Buccaneers and Saints both won their opening games of the 2022 NFL season and commence battle at the Caesars Superdome knowing that the victors will go top of the NFC South.

Both teams have traded wins in recent years but one recurring theme has been that they have often turned into low-scoring affairs. This one is likely to play out in a similar manner.

The Buccaneers' receiving corps is in deep trouble as Chris Godwin, Mike Evans and Julio Jones all picked up injuries in the Week One clash with the Cowboys. The early injury report contained five Tampa wideouts and although Evans is likely to be fine for this game, Godwin and Jones are likely to be less than 100 per cent, especially with the former coming off an ACL tear last year.

As for the Saints, quarterback Jameis Winston did well to put his side back in the game and defeat the Falcons last week, but he still struggled in the main and will likely find things even tougher against Todd Bowles' sturdy defence.

The Cowboys managed just three points against the Bucs last week and Tampa’s pass-rush caused them all kind of problems. The Buccaneers' run defence has been one of the NFL’s best for a number of years and Saints running back Alvin Kamara could be in for another frustrating day after struggling against Atlanta last week.

This one has all the makings of an extremely tight battle with points likely to be at a premium.
