This looks set to be a red-hot divisional contest as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the New York Giants.

The Eagles boast the best record in the NFL at 11-1, but the Giants have enjoyed a solid year too and are 7-4-1.

Both teams have their sights firmly set on reaching the postseason and know a victory on Sunday could go some way to making a statement, and it’s the Eagles who should secure a comfortable win.

Philadelphia responded well to their loss to Washington last month with a couple of gutsy wins over the Packers and Colts before crushing the Titans 35-10 last week, and normal service appears to have resumed.

As for the Giants, the wheels appear to be slowly coming off. After a surprising 6-1 start, they have won just one of their last five games, which came against the lowly Texans.

Now New York come up against a Philadelphia team who they do not match up well against. The Giants have the seventh-worst rushing defence in the NFL while the Eagles boast the fifth-best rushing offence.

Jalen Hurts has been as dangerous on the ground as he has been when throwing the ball through the air, and the dual-threat quarterback looks poised to cause plenty of problems for the G-Men.

The Eagles look better than the Giants on both sides of the ball, and that should put them in good stead for a smooth success at MetLife Stadium.
