Game preview

Top spot in the NFC East is on the line when Philadelphia take on Dallas, and both sides have something to prove after lacklustre starts to the season.

The Cowboys have lost their last three games, the latest against the winless Jets, and after being wiped out by Green Bay the week before there is pressure on Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott to get their team back on track.

Although Prescott has put up big numbers his temperament has been very suspect at times and he was lucky to throw only three interceptions against the Packers, having had a couple more chalked off for defensive penalties.

Philadelphia meanwhile are struggling to get any sort of consistency together, earning big wins against both those sides that Dallas couldn’t beat before getting smashed 38-20 by Minnesota last week.

However, they have shown flashes of what helped them win the Super Bowl in 2018 and Carson Wentz has been solid.

The Eagles pass defence is the biggest concern and their defensive backs are likely to have their hands full against Amari Cooper and Randall Cobb if they are both fit to play.

But with plenty of question marks around Dallas, Philadelphia should be able to keep things tight.
