Best bet
Tennessee Titans +2.5 v Denver Broncos

Tennessee and Denver will feel they have done better than their respective records suggest, but the Titans can come out on top when they clash at Mile High.

Mike Vrabel’s team would likely have secured their third victory of the season against Buffalo last week but for the struggles of kicker Cairo Santos, who missed all four of his field-goal attempts. He has since been released and replaced by former Chicago kicker Cody Parkey.

They have looked a strong team at times, beating Cleveland and Atlanta, but inconsistency has been their biggest concern.

The visit to Denver provides a good opportunity for them to get back on track. Quarterback Marcus Mariota has improved recently and running back Derrick Henry can be relied on.

The Broncos have put their faith more and more in running backs Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman, but they could be in trouble against a Tennessee defence who have allowed just two rushing touchdowns this season.

This has the makings of a close encounter, and backing the Titans with the points looks the way to go.

Next best bet
Philadelphia Eagles +3.5 v Minnesota Vikings

Philadelphia had been involved in plenty of tight clashes before last week’s 31-6 drubbing of the Jets, and they could face another close encounter against Minnesota.

The Vikings bounced back from defeat to Chicago with victory over the Giants last week, but QB Kirk Cousins and the rest of the passing offence seem to lack a killer instinct and the responsibility to move the chains has fallen to talented running back Dalvin Cook.

But this week Minnesota take on an Eagles team with the best rushing defence in the league this season, and Doug Pederson’s side look a great bet to come out on top.

Best points bet
Over 43.5 points in New Orleans at Jacksonville

Rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew has helped to transform Jacksonville into one of the most exciting teams in the NFL, and they can play their part in a potential shootout against New Orleans.

The Jaguars have been involved in high-scoring games the last two weeks, and running back Leonard Fournette looks to be back on top form after rushing for more than 100 yards in both of those.

With QB Drew Brees out injured, Teddy Bridgewater has proved an able substitute, leading the Saints to three straight wins. Although their offence failed to register a touchdown in the 12-10 win over Dallas, they scored 64 points in the other two games with running back Alvin Kamara and wide receiver Michael Thomas impressing.

While their defences are strong in their own right, the New Orleans and Jacksonville offences ooze quality and should put on a show.

Best player bet
Austin Hooper to score a touchdown in Atlanta at Arizona

Tight end Austin Hooper has been getting plenty of receptions in the Atlanta offence, and could find his way into the endzone against Arizona.

The Cardinals have given up five touchdowns to tight ends already this season, and if Hooper continues to be targeted by Matt Ryan he could add to his two scores this season.
