Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions

Chicago have had a very forgettable season. The Bears have the worst record in the NFC and have lost their last eight games.

However, it's not all doom and gloom. In Justin Fields they have a potent rushing quarterback who is just the third signal-caller in NFL history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season.

Fields ran for 147 yards the last time Chicago played Week 17 opponents Detroit, and if he is in a similar mood on Sunday he could contribute to a high-scoring contest.

Points have surpassed the layers' mark in four of the Bears’ last five games against fellow NFC North teams and, with Detroit Lions fighting for a playoff berth and the game being played indoors, the scoreboard could continue to tick over again.

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City have again clinched the AFC West title and their fortunes could hardly be in starker contrast to those of the Denver Broncos, who recently sacked head coach Nathaniel Hackett.

The Chiefs should dominate but the value may lie in backing Mecole Hardman to register a touchdown. The Chiefs receiver is recovering from injury but Kansas City will want him back at full tilt for the playoffs and the Broncos' visit could be an ideal opportunity to give him some game time.

Hardman scored six touchdowns in seven games before his injury and is fancied to add to that tally.

New York Jets at Seattle Seahawks

Four straight defeats has all but ended the playoff ambitions of the New York Jets and the blame can be laid squarely at the door of their misfiring offence.

Seattle have also had difficulties posting points recently and have been held to fewer than 14 points in each of their last two games.

Banking on fewer than 42 points being scored at Lumen Field on Sunday looks the best bet, especially as for all their struggles with the ball, the Jets do boast a strong defence.

Los Angeles Rams at Los Angeles Chargers

Sunday's battle of the NFL's two SoFi Stadium residents looks set to go the way of the Los Angeles Chargers, who have secured a playoff spot with three wins on the bounce.

Last season's Super Bowl winners LA Rams have struggled for consistency all season and although they thumped Denver last week, that scoreline is flattered by a poor Broncos outfit.

The Chargers have plenty of motivation to go for the win as it would set up an easier wildcard contest and they are fancied to cover the handicap given that the Rams averaged just 18.7 points per game in 2022.
