'Tis the season to be jolly and NFL backers had plenty of reasons to be jolly after Chris Rivers delivered a winning accumulator in Week 15.

Having landed a 8-1 fourfold last Sunday, Chris is back with four more selections from Sunday’s slate that pay out at over 8-1 with bet365.

Buffalo Bills +3 v New England Patriots
New York Giants +11 v Philadelphia Eagles
Denver Broncos +2 v Las Vegas Raiders
Los Angeles Chargers -9 v Houston Texans

All bets must be placed by 6pm on Sunday.

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots

The AFC East title is on the line in New England, where the Patriots can clinch the division if they can knock off reigning champions Buffalo. The Pats won a weather-affected game in Buffalo at the start of the month, part of a seven-game winning stretch that was ended by the Indianapolis Colts last time out. Meanwhile, the Bills produced an encouraging performance against the Carolina Panthers in which they got their rushing attack and pass rush going.

Buffalo’s need is greater than New England’s as the Bills’ playoff spot is extremely precarious and they look a solid bet to cover as underdogs having gone 4-1-2 against the spread on their last seven visits to Foxborough.

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles

Jake Fromm is poised to get his first start at quarterback for the Giants with Daniel Jones done for the year and Mike Glennon having been dreadful in the Week 15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Glennon has been a disaster for this offence and Fromm looked like an upgrade during his brief cameo against Dallas. A hostile Philadelphia crowd won't make life easy for Fromm but he can make the Giants more competitive.

Big Blue beat the Eagles in Week 12 thanks to a strong defensive effort and usually bring their A-game to these divisional matchups, covering the spread in five of the last six meetings. Philadelphia are operating on a short week having defeated Washington on Tuesday to record just their second home win in six attempts.

Los Angeles Chargers at Houston Texans

Both these teams have been affected by Covid-related issues this week but the Chargers look in a far better place to cope with any absences. The Bolts should be fine as long as they keep Justin Herbert healthy with the quarterback having been excellent this season. He leads an offence that has averaged over 35 points per game the last three weeks and they should easily eclipse a Texans offence ranked the worst in the NFL.

Wide receiver Brandin Cooks is one of only a handful of players to have emerged with any credit from this season for Houston but he’s out for this game, along with most of the defensive line. Even before Covid struck, Houston look primed for a let down after collecting just their third win of the season at Jacksonville in Week 15, leaving the Chargers primed to cover for the seventh time in the last nine road games.

Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders

These two AFC West division rivals are locked together at 7-7 and one more defeat for either would spell the end for their playoff ambitions. The Raiders battled past a depleted Cleveland Browns on Monday to stay in the wildcard hunt but it was far from a convincing victory as the offence registered fewer than 20 points for the sixth time in the last seven outings. They are unlikely to get offensive star Darren Waller back for this game, while a poor run defence will have issues slowing down the Broncos.

Denver are likely to lean heavily on an improved rushing attack and a strong defence to defeat the Raiders with first-choice quarterback Teddy Bridgewater out due to a head injury. Drew Lock is a serviceable replacement and the Broncos have enough tools to get the job done.
